Mr. Switzerland

Mr. Switzerland is a national Swiss competition aimed at finding the most well rounded good looking Swiss man under the age of 28 who reflects well the morals and characteristics of the Swiss nation.

For a few weeks before the main competition final is held in the Swiss capital Bern, the competitors all travel together across this small Alpine nation, visiting various venues such as shopping malls, car shows and night clubs in order to perform their group dance, show some muscles and meet their fans.

What makes this event particularly interesting is also the fact it reflects well the changing face of the Swiss population. In effect, while all competitors must hold a Swiss passport a significant number of them are indeed “naturalized Swiss citizens”, of immigrant background coming from all fore corners of the Earth such as Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and the Balkans.
