Albania

Growing up the mere mentioning of the word Albania caused my imagination to run wild. To me Albania was synonymous with some place far away, it suggested something forbidden yet exotic and even if Albania was in Europe and geographically close, this was a place to which neither I, nor anyone around me had ever been to or known much about.

Of course the World has much changed since I was a kid but when I finally got the chance to travel to Albania in 2006 even if just for a few days, my excitement and enthusiasm were nonetheless immense.

There is so much to see and do in Albania that during my brief trip I know I did not even scratch the surface. These images are only a mere personal visual diary I kept while there.
